2008 Audi S4

2008 Audi S4 Making the right choice in a market of more than 200 cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs is no easy task – not without us, that is. Here at the online edition to Automobile Magazine, you can find all the 2008 Audi S4 research you need to make an informed buying decision. Select an option below to learn more about the Audi Avant.

The Audi A4 is one of the better cars in a crowd of smaller sport-luxury sedans that, dollar-for-dollar, offers some of the best, most appealing vehicles in the world. To be sure, Audi’s A4/S4 line is more than sedans. For 2007, all-new convertibles augment the existing four-door models and wagons. Also new is the ultra-high performance (and at $66,000, expensive), 420-hp RS4. From the enthusiast driver’s perspective, it’s one of the best sedans ever. The A4 line is complex, with 21 variants. The key is thinking according to priorities: body style, engine size, front- or all-wheel drive, transmission type. All are nicely balanced, enjoyable automobiles. The A4 2.0T, still priced well below $30,000, is fun to drive. Its turbocharged, 200-hp four-cylinder is one of the better small engines going, with satisfying response and spry acceleration, particularly with the standard six-speed manual transmission. It corners like a sports sedan, and high-quality construction is evident inside and out. Audi’s optional quattro all-wheel drive system can help keep the driver on the road regardless of the conditions or situation, and buyers don’t have to choose a big engine or special model to get it.

2008 Audi A4 Caractere

2008 Audi A4 Caractere The body kit comes with new front bumper fascia, side skirts, boot spoiler and rear bumper fascia with or without exhaust tips. Actually the two exhaust pipes on the pictures look really interesting, compared to the original rather dull-looking round tubes. Not so sure about that tiny integrated air diffuser thing, though.

The front styling also looks pretty much okay to me, although it’s clearly inspired by the Audi R8 super car and may be considered an overkill for the humble sedan.

Audi TT 2009

Audi TT 2009If Apple built cars, they probably would look and feel a Audi TT lot like the new Audi TT. Like the iPod, the new TT is a tailor-made tool for the digital age. It’s oh-so-cool in appearance and character, it prioritizes efficiency over emotion, and it underpromises and overdelivers in a matter-of-fact style. The second-generation model combines a cool exterior and a classy cabin with a solid and competent chassis and drivetrain. In terms of sex appeal, the new TT outscores BMW’s Z4 coupe and matches the Porsche Cayman. In terms of passenger and luggage space, it easily eclipses its iconic Audi TT predecessor. And in terms of handling and performance, it’s the only Audi TT contestant in this class to offer four-wheel drive and a clever, dual-clutch transmission. This all sounds good, but there’s more to the story. The genetic code of the latest TT is rather coarsely woven; the TT is a Volkswagen Rabbit–or an Audi A3, if you will–dressed up for the catwalk. So we must hold the headlines until after our twenty-four-hour Audi TT test drive through the rainswept German and Austrian countryside.

Audi TT 2009When it was introduced in 1998, the original TT worked wonders as an image transformer for Audi. The sport coupe gained instant cult status and, together with its roadster sibling, found more than 270,000 takers worldwide.
