Audi Cross Cabriolet

It’s a more ‘rough’ version of the A1 Cabrio, which created a lot of fuzz in the past weeks. And if you think the same, you couldn’t be more wrong, because this actually is more like a Q5 cabrio, because the car’s dimensions are 4.62 m long, 1.91 m wide, 1.63 m tall and 2.81 m wheelbase. Pretty big, huh? So it’s ok to say that this concept previews more the Q5 than the A1 Cabrio.
So, what else we’ve got? First, there’s the engine, a 3.0 liter TDI engine which develops 240 hp and 369 ft-lb of torque, which manages to take the car from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.2 seconds and to a top speed of 150 mph (240 km/h). And it’s also pretty economical, because it manages an average fuel consumption of 32.2 mpg (or 7.3 l/100 km).

Audi opens up new horizons. The A4 is a sporty car with superb presence on the road; it takes Audi forward into a new dimension on the midsize car market. The engines that power the saloon, both TDI and spark-ignition, in all cases with direct fuel injection, combine effortless power with high efficiency. The dynamic running gear and the use of many technologies taken direct from the large-car category are evidence of the brand’s lead in technical know-how. The new Audi is a new way to drive. It will reach the market at the end of November 2007, at a basic list price of about 26,000 Euros in Germany
